Details
This project contains ecological and socio-economic research on the feasibility and impact of wildlife friendly farming on partridge populations and biodiversity in general, and on the delivery of ecosystem services in agricultural landscapes. In the participating regions and countries we will try to achieve two study areas with at least 7% of the area containing measures in favour of farmland birds. In addition, two control areas are provided where no action is taken. In this project the partridge is considered a flagship species that the various stakeholder groups consider wothwhile and exemplary of the idea that the sustainable use of a species can serve as an incentive or motivation for certain stakeholder groups in order to take measures that benefit biodiversity in general.
