Details

In this doctoral studie, Frederik Van den Eeckhaut (VUB) is studying agriwilding systems. There are ecologists with an interest in nature rewilding (no human interference) or agroecology (sustainable agriculture). This study investigates the possibility of bringing together the best of both. Such systems can be regarded as ‘edible nature’ ecosystems in which the farmer acts as keystone species in the guidance of ecological succession.
