The changing structure and quality of jobs in Belgium

Onderzoeksrapport
juni 2009
Departement Werk en Sociale Economie
The changes in the composition of jobs in Belgium has a strong influence on relative wages and hence on the degree of income inequality. Belgian job quality is also changing because salary has become one of the most important ways of measuring job quality. Other measures of job quality - including secondary employment conditions, the stability of the employment contract and the level of absenteeism - after all are correlated with one's salary.
