Wildlife Management
Wildlife Management
Wildlife Management in relation to humans and biodiversity is central to the Wildlife Management research group. Damage management is the first important area of focus. The group seeks, among other things, management tools and strategies to reduce the negative impact of both indigenous and exotic species. Another important area of focus is the sustainable use of indigenous populations: what are the prospects and preconditions for the sustainable use of these populations? The possible role of sustainable use in the context of biodiversity conservation is also investigated. With its accumulated knowledge, the research group aims to deliver services, products and technical knowledge to target groups and government bodies working in the area of wildlife management.
