Habitat action plans - Preparation of guidance on habitat restoration

(INBO)
(INBO)

Details

19 European habitats must be restored to favourable status as a priority, so-called quick wins. Initially, the deadline for this was 2020. This was not met and therefore concrete guidance on habitat restoration is needed. The habitat restoration guidance should provide a tool for targeted improvement of the conservation status of these 19 habitats. To this end, the latest information and scientific knowledge should be made available in an accessible way. With this information, managers and other stakeholders can plan and implement targeted actions in the most relevant locations. These actions are concrete and relate to: - spatial aspects (specific location, surface requirements) - specific (recovery) management - more generic measures for more dispersed or larger-area habitats (e.g. vegetation structure, ecohydrology)
