Vehicle inspection
Passenger cars must be inspected for the first time before the 4th anniversary of their registration date in Belgium. After that, they must be inspected annually. Passenger cars must also be inspected before selling them on the second-hand market.
Company cars, minibuses, motor caravans, hearses, semi-trailers and farm vehicles must pass inspection as well.
The inspection must be carried out at one of the official vehicle inspection centres(opens in new window) (only available in Dutch). In order to avoid queuing, you can make an appointment.
On the website of GOCA Vlaanderen, the group of authorised vehicle inspection centres, you will find more information on the mandatory inspection(opens in new window) (only available in Dutch and French).
