In a bioeconomy, biomass is sustainably produced and used for a range of applications. Such an economy offers huge opportunities for, among other things, the further development of a circular economy, the optimal use of raw materials and economic growth. The importance of the bioeconomy in Flanders will only increase in the future. The publication sets out the Flemish vision and strategy for a Flemish bioeconomy, as approved by the Government of Flanders on 19 July 2013.
