Tenth Symposium of the Belgian Wildlife Disease Society
This year the Belgian Wildlife Disease Society (BWDS) together with the University of Antwerp (UA), is organizing its 10th symposium. This edition coincides with the 20th anniversary of the BWDS and will take place on October 18, 2024 at the Hof van Liere, UA City Campus in Antwerp. The theme of the symposium is "Triggers of Zoonotic Pathogen Emergence."
The program will include sessions on various projects related to zoonoses, the role of vectors in disease transmission, the impact of mutations in viruses & pandemics and emerging diseases that are just around the corner.
In addition to these sessions, there will also be a poster session. Researchers are invited to submit an abstract on research related to wildlife diseases in the broadest sense. Traditionally, ample time is provided during the coffee breaks, lunch and reception to exchange information and network.
Together we can strengthen our knowledge and cooperation on wildlife disease research.
