Working with a VOP (Flemish support allowance)

Onderzoeksrapport

Departement Werk en Sociale Economie
The Flemish Support Allowance, or VOP, is a contribution towards the costs of hiring people with an occupational disability, the costs of support and of reduced productivity. The VOP aims at increasing participation in employment of people with an occupational disability, not only by providing them work, but also by keeping them employed. The 'workability' of the job plays an important role in this context, as is confirmed, for instance, by the figures from the workability monitor, which show that better workable jobs are an incentive for employees to keep working.
